Concrète (2023)

Created in dialogue with Megan Heeres’ extensive research, installation, and exhibition Tending Time, concrète is a new dance by Biba Bell that lands in the spaces of Core City between train tracks, tree clusters, and mound, mingling with/in landscape, architecture, and more-than-human arboreal and vegetal beings. concrète is an invitation for performers and the public to dwell, listen, and sense the possibilities of material, tangible belonging.

Performed by Bell with dancers Christopher Woolfolk and Shannon White, and joined by musician-composer Matthew Daher at Matéria Gallery in Detroit, on Saturday, September 16th.
